Welcome into your home (is you dare) for the very first time “ANIMUTANTS” Live on-line with Miss-elaine-eous!
Animutants are social distancing, leaving the confines of Bryant Elementary School, and taking residence in your home. As before, plastic animals will be mutated and their habitats constructed, with the help of recycled materials and creative young minds.
With a need at this time for consistency and the comfort of familiarity, the on-line format will follow that of the class room experience as much as possible. Emphasis will be placed on connecting with friends through the creative process. Students will have weekly access to a plastic animal, hot glue gun/glue sticks, recycled materials and a base to transform into a habitat. Hair curlers can become dragon tails, clothes pins leg extensions, and buttons gigantic eyes.
A weekly material “Surprise Grab Bag” will be available for pick-up outside the school. Pick-up location and time will take into consideration the need for social distancing. Details will be available after registration.
Important. Please read. Glue guns used are designed specifically for young children. Special features include rubber guard around tip, and low temperature. At the beginning of the session I will demonstrate how to us the tool appropriately and emphasize safe use expectations. When students follow the guidelines as presented, these glue guns require only minimal adult supervision.
Late registration is open but if you register on Monday or later you will not receive materials for the class on that same week.
