Creative Coding teaches your child to code by helping them make their own custom video games! Our project based, multilevel classes are amazingly fun yet very effective in teaching creative problem solving AND emotional resilience.

Your child will learn how to make their own custom video games, art, and mobile apps, using Scratch 3.0, the MIT-designed tool that’s still the BEST and MOST FUN way we’ve found to teach coding to kids. And, this version is finally able to run on nearly any mobile device, inside a browser! This means your child can make an “app” & share it with their friends via a link, so they can play it on their tablet or phone. SRSLY.
Our multi-level class for grades 2-5 is open to Beginners through Advanced students. Students can bring their OWN IDEAS for the games/animations/apps they wish to create, and our teachers will support them as they go along. Beginners will spend the first few lessons working on a group project to learn some basic skills before diving into their own custom projects. Returning level 2+Intermediate/Advanced students begin their own projects on day 1. An endless variety of daily challenges, hacks, and techniques will engage and inspire your child when they (temporarily) run out of their own ideas.
Our classes can be repeated as many times as desired, yet each day is a unique experience! At then end of each class you’ll be invited to the “Level up” ceremony where your child will present their favorite project to peers and parents. Each time your child “Levels up”, they’ll gain confidence, persistence, and problem solving skills, through the individual assistance of our awesome instructors!

Creative Coding began in 2013 with a single class taught by founder Eric Fredrickson; we have since taught thousands of kids through dozens of schools and camps, and our mission is still the same: to help kids discover the joy of coding. We are constantly striving to grow and improve in our techniques, our offerings, our administrative efficiency, and our social and environmental impact.
