Advanced Beginner Guitar 3rd-5th grade

This trimester’s class will be tailored to students that have already taken this class or otherwise have some experience playing the guitar. If you are not sure that this class is the right fit for your child, please email Ian before signing up.

Ian Hughes has been teaching guitar to Bryant Elementary students for well over a decade and has seen a handful of students through jazz band at Eckstein and Roosevelt.  This class is designed to learn the basics of the guitar, including music reading, strumming chords, basic rock riffs and a little music theory. This session will have a special focus on playing together as a group. Students will need to provide their own instruments. Please contact Ian for instrument recommendations. Class size will be capped at 6 students to provide for ample one on one attention for all students.
