Please read the following terms, conditions and policy of the Bryant After School Enrichment Program (ASE). When registering your student in the program, you’ll be required to acknowledge that you understand and agree to all these terms.
Availability
Many classes have limited space and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Class may be cancelled if enrollment is low. In such a case the registration portion fees already paid for that class will be refunded. Credit card processing fees may not be refunded.
There are no regular after school classes on no school days or Early Dismissal Days. Special workshops may be available, but are not part of the regularly scheduled classes.
Registration
A place is not secured in a class until the full registration process is completed. Full registration includes submitting a student/parent information form, checking out all desired classes, and making full payment at checkout.
Pick-up Policy
All students participating in ASE classes must be picked up on time. Pick up will be from the designated class location. ASE program coordinators may impose a $25 late fee if a student is picked up late more than once from the program; they may remove a student from the program with no monetary refund if he or she is picked up late more than three times in a class cycle.
If a child needs to leave class early, it is the parent’s responsibility to pick the child up directly from the class.
Attendance
If a child is present at school and is enrolled in a particular class, he/she must attend his/her scheduled class for the complete session, unless a parent or guardian notifies the class instructor.
No Make-Ups
There are no refunds or “make-up days” for missed sessions. If your child is unable to attend his/her scheduled class, he/she may not attend another day to “make up” for the missed session.
In the event of instructor illness, a make-up class will be provided. If school is cancelled due to weather conditions we will do our best to provide make up classes. However, this may not be possible if there are no free school days between session dates.
Cancellations
There are no refunds for cancelled classes unless dropped 7 days or more prior to beginning of session.
Recommended Grade Restrictions
Exceptions to grade-level requirements need instructor permission.
Medications and Allergies Policy
Parents and guardians must notify the ASE Coordinators and their specific class instructors if their child needs to have medications on hand for allergies or medical conditions. Written permission with a medical release is required before any medication can be administered.
Behavior Policy
To ensure a safe environment for all students in ASE classes, we have the following behavior policy:
- The first time an ASE Coordinator or instructor raises a behavior issue with a parent or guardian, they will discuss what happened and what needs to be addressed.
- If the issue is not addressed and recurs, the student may be suspended from one class with no monetary refund.
- If behavior continues to be an issue after two warnings, the student may be dismissed from the program with no monetary refund.
Liability Waiver and Release
Parents or legal guardians of children participating in any ASE class assume full responsibility for all risks taken and injuries incurred by their child(ren) while participating in any event of the ASE program sponsored by the Parent, Teacher & Student Association (PTSA) of Bryant Elementary School. By completing this registration form, you, as the legal guardian of the registered child listed above, acknowledge that ASE activities have inherent risks and agree to assume all risks and hazards incident to your child’s participation in all ASE activities. You further release and forever hold harmless the PTSA Bryant; employees of the PTSA of Byant, executive board members of the PTSA of Bryant; and any and all persons acting on behalf of these organizations or individuals, from any claims, losses, or injury sustained during or in connection with your child’s participation in any ASE activity, including but not limited to medical expenses or any other form of monetary or other loss.
